Experience Punchy Performance in a Subaru Outback
You'll feel like you're in control with the choice of two engine configurations available on the Subaru Outback. Whether you get the 2.5-liter engine or the 2.4-liter engine configuration they both will come paired to a continuously variable automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive.
The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine comes standard on the base, Premium, Limited, and Touring trims. The 2.5-liter engine produces 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque.
If you're looking for a little more power underneath the hood you can get that on the XT models. The 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine produces 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. You can even tow up to 3,500 pounds with this engine and reach up to 30 MPG while driving on the highway.
All Outback models come with 8.7 inches of ground clearance and standard X-MODE. The additional ground clearance allows you to take your Outback on more tough terrain offroading and the X-MODE ensures that you have maximum traction on slippery surfaces.
