This review is a bit over due. However Schulte was amazingly helpful to me in a time of true need. I was in the process of driving cross country to get to my wedding, and then to move to a new state. While doing this a deer decided to make my life a nightmare. Just outside of city limits this creature of evil jumped in front of my 2015, just over a year old, Outback. It was horrible, mostly for the deer, but man was I in full on panic mode. I was due to be at my parents the next night, with two dogs, and a future husband. Yeah that didn't happen. I was a mess, a car that I was pretty sure wouldn't make it the rest of the trip due to the condition it was in.
However the next morning, after having hardly slept, I took that once lovely car over to Schulte. I just stood there much like a lost 5 year old, as I had lost my voice mostly the night before screaming at the top of my lungs cursing that deer. The wonderful staff at Schulte greeted me and I just said, I need help and pointed to the car. I was still in a bit of a state of shock from this whole thing. I mean I was due to be married that coming Saturday, which was 5 days away. The guy in the service center (whom I believe was named Chris) was more than awesome, he even was honest with me and pretty much told me my fears I was a bit stuck between a rock and a hard place. I explained I had to get back on the road ASAP. He was understanding and said something along the lines of "I know you don't want to think about this, however you may be better off doing a trade in and getting a new car."
Of course no one wants to hear that just little of a year after buying a new car that they love. That 2015 was my pride, the cream interior with the pearl white paint job. It was what I had wanted. Though he was really right, it would be my best option. I mean I was being a stubborn butt about it all, however I had all my paperwork on hand as when moving you keep that stuff with you. So even though I was insistent that I wanted the exact same car I had just not messed up with deer blood and guts, which they didn't have of course, so they showed me my options, and I after a bit finally agreed on one of them.
We got to talking and before 3pm that day, I was set up in a new 2016 Outback. It was almost the same, my husband makes fun of me for this, but it was so the wrong color combo. I still swear I would love the car more if the color wasn't so wrong. We actually were able to get to town on the same schedule as planned, just a bit more frantic, all due to they fine folks at Schulte Subaru. They helped us deal with phone calls related to getting some information from the dealership I bought the 2015 at, I mean I had a little to do with part of it. Like really the other dealership was being a bunch of turds to the point when spelling out and email address I may have used some abrasive language to help them understand the letter A.
To make things even better, they had found my glasses that I left in the 2015 and mailed them to me so I could get them before my wedding! They mailed us some wonderful cookies a few weeks afterward to our new home with a kind letter. They were just amazing. I mean I will hopefully never have to buy a car under those circumstances again, though if I did, I would want it to be at Schulte.
